Customer Support / Re: New old stock gauge installation on small boat
« on: March 30, 2012, 11:10:07 AM »
The sequence for the fuel gauge would have been my first guess to start the iteration of trial and error...will be working on it this weekend.

I looked last night. , The tach only has 2 dip switches. , It',s a tach with systems check. , Have the lower unit off replacing water pump this weekend. , And just about done building the t-top for it. , Probably be next weekend before i can get it to a point to test the tach.

Thanks

Customer Support / New old stock gauge installation on small boat
« on: March 28, 2012, 08:38:33 AM »
I recently purchased several Beede gauges from a distributor of new old stock/discontinued stock. , None of the gauges came with any documentation. I',ve searched the internet to no avail. I need some help with a couple of items with them.

1. Fuel gauge #946933 , ~ this has a Duetsch 6 pin connection socket with 4 pins, (Ignition, ground, sender, &, light are what I',d expect them to be) but no indication of which pin is for which one. I',m adding this to the project boat, and will be making the new harness up myself. , Are you able to provide those to assist in getting the harness built?

2. , Tach #946803 ~ , this has a Duetsch 8 pin connection socket with 8 pins , The boat has the same socket, and plugged right in. , My question is in regards to the dip switch settings. , The motor is a Johnson model BJ175EXEUC. , Can you help with this? , If not, and i simply adjust the setting till it ",works",, am i going to risk damaging the unit? The unit has not had power to it yet. and the needle currently read about 500 rpm.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
