Water Pressure Gauge
« on: June 23, 2012, 03:03:22 PM »
Hi my speedometer on my 2007 Triton boat is off, its reading 38 mph, when its just sitting in the driveway or at the dock. The tube is fine and has no holes, i can blow in it and it will go up, but i was wondering if there was a way to reset the speedometer back to 0. I have 2 series of numbers on the side of it, one is the date i believe and the other is a series starting with 9, its 946942.

If there is a way to set the speedometer back to 0 that would be great.

Thanks,

Kyle

Hi Kyle,

This failure mode happens when a little bit of water enters the speedo mechanism and then freezes. , When the water freezes, it expands causing the brass ',bourdon tube', to expand, in turn causing the pointer to go upscale. , The only way to fix the speedometer is to change the bourdon tube inside of the gauge. , Please contact Wanda at the factory, 603-5753-6362 x201, and she can work with you on getting your speedo repaired/replaced.

Thanks,
Ken
